old children in the U.S. and China. Current research: patterns of development
in U.S. and Chinese children in the visual and nonverbal realms; developing
models for successful cross cultural interactions; teacher research.
Halliday, Vygotsky, Peirce important. Coordinated a participatory research
project at Claremont Graduate School that produced national report, Voices
from the Inside. Have articles on participatory research, semiotics, and
intercultural issues; edit a teacher research monograph.
