Hello everyone,

Here is a very appropriate little snippet from the Chronicle of Higher
Education for all of us who will be doing some traveling this summer

* THE NEXT TIME airline employees try to check your carry-on
luggage, remember Linda Rogers. Dr. Rogers, an associate
professor of psychology at Kent State University, lost six
weeks' worth of research when American Airlines attendants
checked her carry-on bag -- against her will -- because it
was too heavy. The bag then disappeared.

Wishing all Americans a happy, safe, and thoughtful Independence day.

Peace, Edouard

P.S. Ironically enough, I write this in the lobby of Linburgh Airport -
having the presents of mind to keep my trusty computer in my site at all
times!
