Glad the idea appeals, Judy. I will certainly agree that artifacts do not
have minds of their own, but neither do humans! :-) In the current work
of our distributed research group, there are several sub-projects which
treat the changing nature of the artifacts in relation to the changing
nature of the activity. Katherine Brown's thesis here at UCSD was on that
topic but she steadfastly evades writing up an article for
MCA! :-))
