Jay,
It is an interesting question. We have had very stimulating experience inour
summer school for teachers, when we fugured out that they (and we) face with
serious difficulties in identifying real effect of teacher's action. This
question has back side - could we understand real picture of emerging some
phenomena.
This topick became very popular in our discussions with teachers.
