Perhaps we should include on the website in an appropriate way
a notice of our policy regarding fair use of xmca
postings that are archived there. My memory (my archives are
shallow!) is that it's OK to quote and to forward for personal
purposes but if you want to use it in some more public forum
you should ask the writer's permission. Quite a number of people
over the last few years have asked my permission to quote from
my postings, mainly for print publications, and the main concern
(when there was any concern at all) was simply to restore a
bit of the context in which the original was meant to be
read. I take it this is similar to Olav's concern, too. JAY.
