The social construction of memory

I'm in search of references on the social construction of memory and would
be grateful for any help
I've been working on students memory for their classroom learning and
learning activities. The data contains detailed classroom observations and
recordings, and interviews (either 3 weeks later, or 12 months later, or
both in some classes). So far the patterns of change in what they recollect
show the kinds of summarizing/generalizing, loss of detail, intrusions and
confusions that fit a script or schema model of memory process. I would
like to identify the social processes in the classrooms that
shape/enculturate/create memory processes. I have the references to
Middleton & Edwards, and several by Katherine Nelson and others working on
the development of script-based memory in young children. Is there other
work on the sociocultural basis of memory processes that would help?
Please.
