I've always thought the script concept was simply a reworking of the concept
of a model. That is, in the objectivist sense rather than the empiricist
sense, scripts and models were/are idealizations of reality, not
approximations of it. From the former standpoint, correspondence would have
little or nothing to do with the goodness of "fit" between the model and
"nature" and everything to do with how the model/script interacts with
and/or anticipates the domain it attempts to define.
