Hi Edouard and fellow xmca-ers,

I certainly understand your frustrations Ed about this media circus but I
think Teresa and others who have raised this topic in xmca have done it
in very intelligent and critical ways. I hope they would not feel bad
for having done so... for I do think there're ways "bad" topics can be
looked at from fresh angles and yield new insights...

I know you've been overkilled on this topic... but as I see it, as an
outsider, I think there are lots of lessons to be learnt here... and
Americans do not seem to have risen above the level of analysis offered
by the "experts" in the public media. *SIGH* I do see lots of crises
and worries in the whole issue...

I'll stop here... I'm writing this just in the hope of working towards a
frank and liberal atmosphere for discussions... while appreciating your
"fed-up-ness" with the topic, I also plead for new angles and
perspectives on the issue instead of avoiding the topic altoghether...

Yours very sincerely,
Angel

Oh, East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet,
Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God's great Judgment Seat;
But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed, nor Birth,
When ... we stand face to face in the cyber space? ...
