Jerry Balzano

Balzano is a professor in the Department of Music and in the Teacher Education Program at UC San Diego. He is also affiliated with its Cognitive Science Program. His current interests revolve around the ideas of "technology-across-the-curriculum" and computer modeling in science and mathematics education, and is particularly engaged in thinking about the future of computer programming. New agent-based programmable environments are, he thinks, the wave of the future for both research and educational communities.
