This symposium, hosted by the Cultural Historical Research SIG, will present a personal portrait of the life and scholarship of Vera John-Steiner 
through first-hand biographical narratives and interpretative reflection by 8 of her colleagues with a view towards critiquing and expanding 
the central themes of her work in the present and future.
