[xmca] Calling all AERA attendees interested in Cultural Historical Research!

AERA is almost here! And our CHR Sig has a very exciting line up this
year, one that I believe will give voice to quite a range of interests
within the context of the SIG.

We do have two very important requests...

First of all, we are looking for qualified and interested reviewers for
next year's submissions! You can sign up on the AERA website already!

And... we are in need of a new discussant for the session below. This
session promises to be very exciting, especially if you are interested
in sociocultural affordances. Please contact me directly if you would
like to be a discussant or know of someone who would enjoy acting as
discussant for this session.

See you at the CHR Sig Business Meeting on Monday!!

Abstract:

These papers examine activity and affordances in a variety of contexts,
from the ways sociocultural capital advantages parents in school-based
activity systems, to ways cultural artifacts representing the mass
execution in the US-Dakota War emerged in conflicting activity systems,
and to the way that goal structures can be viewed as perpetrating
dilemmas with regard to activity systems.
