Re: [xmca] FW: new Vimeo
Anthony and Andy
What a wonderful video. The clarity of developing the 7 psychological
functions came through and was very helpful in locating the background
features of the devlopment of concepts. It was interesting to hear that
most of Vygotsky's work was exploring this background involved in
Andy, I hope this post can elaborate in more depth "potential concepts" and
how fundamental this realm of living is for dwelling in the world. As I
understand your comment on Wittgenstein he was exploring the centrality of
potential concepts and practical activity for orienting to the living
world. I would suggest his writings on "use" OF language [which is NOT
true concepts] may be more vital for our intersubjective RELATIONAL "ways"
of orienting to the living world than most scholars realize. True concepts
that loose their VITAL interplay to the underlying 7 psychological
functions seems to be the realm Wittgenstein was exploring.
My fascination on the processes "animating" the person and the place of
the 7 psychological functions underlying concepts in answering this
question of being/becoming animated within the living world.
In other words, the whole question of the "background" 7 functions that
are intimately linked to the foregrounded true concepts and how central the
capacity to FLEXIBLY move within this field [both background and concepts]
seems to be central to vitality or that which animates.
Once again Anthony I appreciate your contribution to producing these
fascinating and informative videos which help clarify the complexities of
conceptual development. Andy I'm waiting for part 2. The video was a
wondeful way to start my day.
