We would like to invite you for a Mini-Bakhtinian conference in education and call for the proposals.

Topic: Mini-Bakhtinian conference in education: Promises and Challenges of Dialogic Pedagogy
When: March 23-March 30, 2012 (spring break)
Where: School of Education, University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware, USA

Registration fee $150: Minimum to cover expenses of drinking and small snacks
Lodging can be about $60 per night (short distance by walk from the university)

Formats:

1.        Research in progress: Discussion of research challenges

2.        Round table: challenges of dialogic pedagogy

3.        Requested presentation: People and topics

4.        Empirical research sessions: 30-45 min presentation and 20 min discussion

5.        Discussions of videotaped guidance

6.        Innovations of dialogic pedagogy in Higher Education: How your scholarship informs your teaching and how your teaching promotes your scholarly inquiries

7.        Theoretical research on dialogic pedagogy: 30-45min presentation and 20 min discussion

8.        Brainstorming about new issues of dialogic pedagogy

Please submit your 500-word proposals (please indicate the format, and when you plan to arrive and leave) by January 10th, 2012 to anamshane@gmail.com<mailto:anamshane@gmail.com>
We will inform you about the program by January 25th, 2012.
