[xmca] protocol on spelling: Leontiev, Leontyev, Leont'ev

Dear all
is there a 'protocol' on spelling Russian names when writing in English? (perhaps set by editors or something?)
I have come across Leontiev, Leontyev, Leont'ev, and Ilyenkov and Il'enkov.
