I need to retract the claim I made a couple of weeks ago about Vygotsky
mistaking an idea of Hegel's for Plekhanov's. Having looked at Plekhanov on
Romanitc art and re-reading what Vygotsky said about it, I think I
exaggerated the closeness of the idea to Hegel, and Vygotsky accurately
reflects Plekhanov's view which is very different from Hegel's.
