Re: [xmca] Fires in San Diego County

I actually live about 2 miles from SDSU, and we are doing okay here. The
universities are closed, but it is more for health/precautionary
reasons. The Harris Fire has moved a bit closer to us, but we are still
not anticipating evacuation. The air is tolerable, although the
smoke/low humidity does get to the eyes and throat. The air is actually
worse closer to the coast, though, so we are a bit luckier out here.

I have found www.signonsandiego.com to be one of the better news sources
for up-to-date information on the fires, evacuation notices, and maps.

http://www.signonsandiego.com/firemap/ is the most updated fire map,
although it is hard to load at times because of the high traffic at the
site.
