POSITION: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCES AND
DISORDERS. Full-time (9-month), Continuous, Tenure-Track Appointment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D., active research and scholarship program,
previous teaching
experience, and/or post-doctoral experience desirable. CCC-SLP
preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish/continue a line of research in specialty
area(s) in
neuroscience, neurogenics, neuromotor disorders in children, youth
and families and
communication disorders. Applicants will collaborate with colleagues
from the
Human Developmental Neuroscience Initiative, the Penn State
Neuroscience Institute,
Hershey Medical Center, and make use of the new MRI facility to be
located across from the
CSD department (Siemens 3 Tesla unit) and completed by July 08. Teach
undergraduate
and graduate courses in area of specialty; supervise undergraduate
and graduate
(M.S./Ph.D.) research; service to the Department, College, and
University. The ideal
candidate would be able to make significant contributions not only to
research and teaching,
but also to the clinical aspects of the program.

STARTING DATE: Fall Semester, 2008
