Jay, you mentioned (postmodern) sociological efforts "to restore some holism to
our overly analytical traditions," the 'elements' being seen as "either just
different aspects or facets of a single whole [...], or ... moments in a cycle
of causes that produce one another through time." But why do you prefer to link
postmodern sociology with modern physics? Wouldn't it be more adequate to look
into "postmodern" physics with its "quantum ontology"?

All that is, all that has meaning in the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum
physics, buttressed by Heisenberg’s indeterminacy principle, is the
mathematical expression of probabilities.

Does anyone know if Vygotsky himself was influenced by the (Einsteinian)
relativity paradigm?
