Or (speaking of law) what about Anatole France's observation about one
law, same for all (paraphrasing from memory):

"Tha law, in all its majesty, bars the rich and poor alike from sleeping
under bridges."

BTW, I like the heading "percertions." Speaks to assertions, with
certitude.
