As a procedural question, I'll write first in english when answering english
speakers at first and then I will write my traslation to spanish. I'll do the
opposite when the contrary. With regard to my alternancies between english an
spanish is just because I'm not bilingual but just lingual "and a half". So my
ideas are shorter in english, and it is easier to me to traslate them to
spanish. It is a way to regulate my discourse (I guess). This is strongly
related with the point sustained by Michael in his last message. I agree also
with you but neither english nor spanish speakers can read Vygotsky and other
russian authors in the original language, so let's try with the exercise of
sharing traslations at the same time that provide access to spanish learners
not able to read english (actually, it was the startpoint of this discussion,
when Martin asked for help).
Como cuestión de procedimiento, escribiré primero en inglés cuando mi
interlocutor/es no sea/n castellano parlantes. Después añadiré mi traducción.
Haré lo contrario cuando pase al revés. En relación con lo de escribir frase a
frase, es un modo de regular mi discurso. No soy bilingüe, solo lingüe y
medio, y mis ideas son más "cortas" en inglés. Luego puedo reescribir en
castellano fácilmente. Esto está muy relacionado con lo que plantea Michael en
su último mensaje. Yo también estoy de acuerdo en la imposibilidad de hacer
traducciones perfectas pero en este caso ni los anglo ni los castellano
hablantes podemos leer a Vygotsky y otros autores rusos en su lengua original.
Así que puede ser muy interesante hacer el ejercicio de compartir traducciones
a la vez que facilitamos el acceso a esas obras a los hispano parlantes que no
leen en inglés y desconocen la existencia de las traducciones (que por ahí
empezó la cosa, cuando Martin pidio información al respecto).
