The Education Department at Brown University invites applications from
individuals with training in human development for a tenure-track position
as Assistant Professor of Education. This position will begin July 1,
2007. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary faculty of
social scientists in the Education Department whose work ranges across
human development, education policy, and historical studies. We are
seeking individuals whose work is primarily in adolescent development with
applications to the study of education-related issues and who hold an
earned doctorate in developmental psychology or any other discipline
relevant to the study of human development. Applicants with expertise that
includes, but is not limited to, biological, neurological, cognitive,
social, cultural/ethnic, and gender issues are particularly welcome.
Candidates must show promise of an active research profile and
demonstrated success in teaching and advising students.
