Hi David and Carol and others interested,

The software is called Atlas.ti. Works on video too, but I think is at its
best with large textual data sets.

I am using it myself to work on a relatively large body of meeting
transcripts. I have found it very useful. The very well thought out graphic
interface helps a lot in the initial investment in learning to use it.

Read more at: http://www.atlasti.de/

There's a free trial version under the disk icon that says: 'Learn more
about Atlas.ti on these pages...'

A recommendable free opensource software for video and audio data is
Transana, you can download at http://www.transana.org/

best,
Jonna
