George Mason University is seeking an active, experienced scholar
with expertise in cognition and the arts to build new programs of
study and research in an innovative, collaborative university
setting. This is a new position shared by the College of Education
and Human Development and the College of Visual and Performing Arts,
representing a commitment to integrating research and artistic activity.

Responsibilities include conducting and disseminating research,
helping create a center for learning and the arts, teaching and
advising at the master's and doctoral levels, and collaborating with
faculty and advanced students on projects requiring strong
substantive and methodological expertise. Earned doctorate required.
The successful candidate may come from any academic, performance or
research setting that supports expertise in the intersecting domain
of cognition and the arts.
