Dear All,

We would like to encourage you to submit book proposals to the MIT
Press series "Acting with Technology."

The goal of the series, which appears to be of interest to many
XMCA'ers, is to publish books that contribute, from a wide range of
theoretical perspectives, to an understanding of technology as a
crucial facet of human activity enacted in rich social and physical
contexts. The first book of the series, "Tracing genres through
organizations" by Clay Spinuzzi, was published in 2003 (and was a
winner of the 2004 Best Book in Technical or Scientific Communication
Award presented by the National Council of Teachers of English). Two
more books were published within the series after that and at least two
books are expected to appear next year.

To ensure further progress of the series we need more proposals. If
you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact any of us!

You can find more information about the series, published and upcoming
books, how to submit a book proposal, etc., at:

or you can go to "mitpress.mit.edu" and then follow links to "BOOKS"
--> "Series list" --> "Acting with technology"

Best wishes,
