POSITION SUMMARY:               The Educational Foundations Program at the
University of Cincinnati invites applications for a tenure-track faculty
position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates
should have general knowledge of lifespan human development and
specializations in one or more areas including early childhood, middle
childhood, adolescence, and adulthood/aging. Educational Foundations is
an interdisciplinary program that offers master's and doctoral degrees
with concentrations in psychological and social foundations of education
and research methodology (www.uc.edu/edfn).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                 Qualifications include an
earned doctorate
by August 31, 2005 with a human development or developmental psychology
emphasis from an accredited program. ABD candidates will be considered.
Applicants also must have evidence of a well-defined research agenda in
human development using quantitative, qualitative, and/or action
research methodologies; experience with grants or grant writing;
expertise in the development and instruction of undergraduate and
graduate courses; willingness to use technology in instruction including
the development of on-line courses; ability to direct graduate student
research; and professional involvement in, or extensive knowledge of,
educational settings characterized by racial, ethnic, cultural and/or
linguistic diversity. Responsibilities include developing and teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses in human development; advising
graduate students; maintaining an active research agenda; securing
internal and external funds; and participating in service activities.
