You hit on a bunch of the uncertainties, Peter.
The main thing, of course, is to try to formulate matters so that we
can sign on to them, but in so far as we evoke predecessors, its important
to know what we are invoking..... and the only thing that is REALLY clear
is that the matter is not clear.
