Mike, I would be interested in a copy of your paper. I'm sure others will be
too. Could you perhaps post it to the website? judy

Subject: many thanks, in context

Many thanks to all of you who have enriched my understanding of my question
about whether LSV was a contextualist. For me the immediate occasion (uhhhh,
context? :-) ) for posing the question is that I propose to discuss the
issue at an upcoming meeting and I was curious about the views of others.

The immediate provocation for raising this question at a meeting was the
experience of reading a textbook on theories of developmental psychology
in which "Vygtosky and Contextualism" occupies a rather lengthy chapter
combined with my sense that many who use LSV's ideas are considered by
their colleagues, and often consider themselves, to adopt a contextualist
world view.

When I get the (brief) paper written down, which I must do by the middle
of next week, I'll make it available for anyone interested.

Now we have an equally complex issue, the concept of object in activity
theory.

And of course, the opportunity to pick a next article to talk about!
