Folks, those of you who belong to the Cultural Historical Research Special
Interest Group of AERA should be receiving a ballot in the mail, if not
already. Please take the time to participate in the vote for the SIG
Executive Committee, which oversees all sigs. Please see the email by Bruce
Thompson below.

Thanks,
Bill Barowy

Subject: AERA elections for SIG Exec Committee

The ballots for AERA elections are now out. I encourage you to e-mail the
members of your SIGs to get them to vote for the positions opening up on
the 6-member SIG Executive Commiittee. Thus, 6,000+ AERA members who are
members of SIGs are eligible to vote in these elections (as indicated by
the letter "S" above the label on the envelope AERA used to mail each
 ballot).

The ballot does NOT MAKE CLEAR that there are **TWO** POSITIONS opening on
the Exec Council, so it is ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR SIG VOTERS TO RANK
ORDER ALL FOUR CANDIDATES. You may want to emphasize this to members of
your SIG.

The ballots must be RECEIVED BY ***MARCH 7th***.

Bruce Thompson
