Dear Xmca-ites;

Thanks to an intrepid band of xmca tech facilitators, our online class is
now beginning. It ends the first of June. The topic is the officially
"mediational theories of mind" which is the name of the spring quarter
course that I wil be teaching using this same syllabus. If you would like
to consider participating in the course, please check out the information
at

http://www.clmer.csulb.edu/xmcacourse

There you will find a good deal of intro information including the working
syllabus and from there you can to the registration page and get more information and register or not, as you like. One need not participate in the course
for credit, but one can. That is pretty much laid out as you follow the
crimson brick road. For those of you not interested or too busy, there will
be aperidic reports to xmca about how it is progressing.

This is clearly an experiment and should be approached in that spirit. Lots
of kinks have been worked out, but lots more are such to appear.

Meantime, XMCA discussions will go on as usual, continuing estranged learning,
picking up one of the MCA articles (if there is sufficient interest) and
including whatever topics emerge.

The initial topic for the seminar will be discussed until early to mid January
when Reijo Miettenin will begin shepparding us through Topic 2.

Feel free to pass this message on to anyone or any group you think would have
an interest.
mike
