Mike,

I think the issue is that signing up for yahoo, msn, or likewise portal
increases your junk mail thousand fold. But, on the other hand, as far
as prorietory services go Yahoo is the most universal of the bunch. It
certainly is not as bad as AOL where ones pays for junk mail.

Me thinks however that Yahoo's other services should not be assumed. One
should look at it simply as a list serve and readings should be posted
in an open space. For example, one has to sign up and give much personal
information to acess the web based services.
