Hi,

The attached program appears to be of interest to many XMCAers. It clearly
indicates that CHAT has become a major framework in interaction design.

Please note that it is not too late to participate in the conference!

Best regards,
Victor Kaptelinin

ECCE11 - cognition, culture and design
Eleventh European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics
Catania, Italy. 8-11 September 2002
http://www.ecce.info/
************************************************************

AIM OF CONFERENCE
---------------------------
The main theme of ECCE-11 is Cognition, Culture and Design. Contributions
explore cognitive and cultural aspects of design activity and technology
use.
The papers for this ECCE conference were selected trying to be sensitive
to the developmental processes at work in cognitive ergonomics. Those
processes have resulted in critical reflection on ergonomics and in the
accommodation of cultural and differential strands in ergonomic research.
They have also reflected the need to bring cognition and culture together
to foreground the creativity of human action and in turn to support the
creative process of designing and envisioning activities in possible
worlds.
Theoretical, empirical or methodological aspects of this theme are
discussed throughout 12 different sessions.
