it's tragic, really, that folks have to search and hunt and peck through
the streams of propoganda
in order to find out what goes on beneath the radar of popular media. i'm
pretty sure any one of use could
hop a bus 5 miles in any direction to find stories of impoverishment and
desperation...

:-\

this is not against you, dear, but is, in general, an expression of
frustration... and an echo to
the Chiapas fiasco years ago, when rebel terrorists succeeded in using
word-of-mouth on the internet
to garner global support for a particular kind of genocide.

in the contexts of wars and violence sponsored by ideological
rationalization, what is worse than not knowing about what's going on
is the seduction of picking sides based on
particular media perspectives.

quite frankly, when push comes to shove, i give money to homeless people
because i can see where they are,
and i simply don't know how to trust the media anymore.
