Laszlo,

I know what you mean hierarchally speaking that scientific functions are
considered to be superior but is there any evidence to point towards this
being an absolute? Don't Scribner and Cole's anthropological/psychological
studies point towards evidence that people use spontaneous brain functions as
effectively as they use scientific brain functions? Please Mike could you
speak to this notion. Although it would appear that Vygotsky was an advocate
of scientific/cultural brain processes representing higher psychological
functions I am not so sure that if LSV could have been graced with a longer
life he would have placed these functions on equal grounds for explaining
higher psychological functions.

Eric
