Charles:

The way to keep American leaders from committing crimes is to stand up
and yell. Are you registered to vote? Do you vote? Do you email /
phone / write your Congressman / Senators / Governor / the President?
Have you joined any special interest groups? The people in government
get in on your vote. Once they're in they watch the polls carefully,
because they'd like to stay there. The safest thing for them is apathy,
or the "Let George do it" mentality (the mythical "George" in this case
antedating Bush by at least half a century).

If you're afraid of losing your civil rights, use them now while you
still can have an effect. Remember what Pogo said: "We have met the
enemy, and he is us."

Good night all.
