Hi everybody--
 
Here are a couple of alarming snippets from the MSNBC news site.
 
Concerning public opinion:
A new Newsweek poll published Saturday indicated 71 percent of Americans
want the U.S. military to strike against terrorist bases and the
countries that support them even if there is a high likelihood that
civilians would also be killed.
 
Concerning the guys in charge and lack of political opposition:
The Senate votes were unanimous. The House vote on spending was
unanimous, but the use-of-force vote was 420-1. Rep. Barbara Lee,
D-Calif., cast the lone dissenting vote, saying she was convinced
military action "will not prevent further acts of terrorism."
