thank you for the lesson, I have always equated positivism with empirical
knowledge. When I speak of scientific method I speak of it in a general
sense as being the opposite of spontaneous day-to-day thought. The one
common thread thoughout all methods is that there is a structured process for
studying one's environment. Spontaneous thought can be somewhat unstructured
and allow for more haphazard perceptions.
