Has anyone seen the recent special issue of THE JOURNAL OF THE
LEARNING SCIENCES, entirely devoted to designing research to study
'situated cognition' ("Rethinking Methodology in the Learning
Sciences"). Janet Kolodner says that the articles continue the line
of great articles concerning designing complex research for studying
complex problems.

Jay is commenting on the pieces, Kirshner and Barab are introducing
them, Rogers Hall is critiquing them. The articles are by Cobb et al,
Barab et al, Kulikovich/young, and myself.
