colleagues - an aside to the main discussion. paul earlier mentioned the issue
of private property and its effects on social relations, social consciousness
etc. i attach a document with a very rough and partial translation of
ilyenkov's critique of the social and political position of the polish
semantician adam schaff dealing with the relationship between private property
and alienation. writing under 'socialism' (nay, 'communism') the ideas are
dynamite. if anybody is interested i'll do a rough job on the rest of the piece.
