Two reductionisms are involved in eclectism in psychology:
1) A reduction to biology
2) A reduction to history

And the third way is........!

Dima Leontiev has written on the units of analysis problem
and somehwere specifically sites the Vygotsky water
molecule example as oversimplified. Its somewhere in
Soviet Psychology or its bastard offspring, JREEP.
