This message was posted on another group and I thought it relevant
to cross-post to XMCA. FYI.

hello all,
if those of you going to brazil this summer have been frustrated by the
conference website i think i might have some helpful information for you.

the next deadline to register for the conference is april 30th. at that
time the registration fee for professionals will be $220 and grad students
are $110. these numbers are different from those numbers that are posted
on the actual registration form, but i've been told to go by the updated
numbers that i just gave you. the next deadline is may 31st and at that
time the prices will go up to $300 and $150 respectively.

there has been trouble accessing information regarding accomodations. the
folks in brazil are not sure what's wrong with the website as they can
access that section there with no problem. i was assured that i would
receive this information via snail mail (i assume after i register).

finally, if you have not heard whether your proposal has been accepted to
the conference, you can access that information through their website:
http://fae.unicamp.br/br2000/

i hope this information helps!
