Peg Griffin served on the panel from the National Research Council which
produced its reading report and appears to be playing a role in Alabama
and elsewhere in enforcing the Reading Excellent Act passed last year.
That act contains definitions of reading and of research on reading. If
she's on XMCA It would be useful to many of us to get her impressions of
what is happening in enforcing this act of Congress and how she sees her
