The import is humility. =20

IMHO one interacts, no matter how one deludes oneself. Once one concludes=
this, it is a matter of deliberating what form of interaction, how much=
interaction, and for what purpose. Even then, we find that our=
deliberately errant decisions are the functioning of the matrix, recreating=
the patterns of the universe. Variation is essential to evolution and=
nature blindly repeats variations. Sometimes they take.

Sometimes things go awry and othertimes we encounter serendipity in our back=
yard. I think taking a a critical perspective means there is no pretending=
that research is objective and that ultimately you know what you are=
talking about and doing. =20

The destiny of one father is to beget a child, perhaps ad infinitum, and at=
each critical decision, the father thinks he knows what he is doing, but=
never ceases to be surprised at how the child develops. Being a father=
results in a very different perspective than watching a child grow from a=
distance. The uncertainties are enormous.

Welcome to the machine. The very activity of striving to grow next=
generations is inevitably rampant, whether we, personally, take it on or=
not. In the loooooooooooooong run, being critical about it may be just=
another mutation of the processs. =20

Well, as long as it is interesting and fun in this lifetime, count me in!
