Title: Research Social Scientist (654)
Job Description
Participate in evaluations of technology's impact on classrooms,
schools, and student learning. Assist in developing data collection
instruments; conduct field work; analyze data and report results. Examples
of current projects involve students' use of Internet and World Wide Web
resources and focus on learning of science and mathematics content.
Emphasis is on evaluation of impacts of technology in education, not design
of technology interventions or programs.
Experience, Education, and Other Requirements
Evaluation experience including collecting and analyzing both
quantitative and qualitative data. Knowledge of education reform issues and
constructivist teaching and learning models. Evidence of excellent writing
and presentation skills; ability to work in teams. Experience providing
technical assistance a plus, but not required.
Master's degree in education research or a related field. Minimum one
year of practical evaluation experience.
Position available immediately. Some travel will be required.
