I copied the Bakhtin quote incorrectly at one place. Instead of " Genre is
>reborn and renewed at every new stage in the development of literature and
>the genre. ", the sentence should read "Genre is reborn and renewed at
every new stage in the development of literature and [in every individual
work of a given genre. This constitutes the life of] the genre." The
bracketed portion was missed in the first post.
