In my email this morning I received a mailing from Joao Batista Martins via
this list and posted at 1:45 PM. It contained an attachment: Happy99.exe. I
recognized this as a virus.

Don't open this attachment to keep yourself from becoming infected.

Joao Batista Martins almost certainly has NO knowledge that a message was
generated by his own infected computer with this virus and sent to this
list. That's one of the things the virus does (see links below).

For information, check the following sites:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/3652/SKA.HTM

for information on the virus itself and what to do. And, at

http://www.msnbc.com/news/235662.asp

for a general overview.

I hope this helps.

I have a Mac so it wouldn't affect me anyway. But I think one just has to
erase the attachment without ever opening it to keep from infection.
