As to the other issues, it seems, in Jim Wertsch's terminology, that
the different terms we use "privelage" different aspects of the system
of interaction, or perhaps the Gibsonian notion of afford would be better.
Just as words are polysemic, so are people, boundary objects, etc.
All of which makes it a little difficult to speak "in general" of such
issues.
