I second Judy's thanks for the posts by Bill and Phillip. And Jay's
intuitive summary fits my own intuitions. We cannot theorize heterogeneity
with theorizing heterochrony at the same time.
Phillip-- the little girl acquired the object of "school going activity"
in Yrjo's terms.
Yrjo is at UCSD for the next 20 weeks and is on xmca. I believe that
some of his writings addressed the issues being raised, but am not sure
what he would recommend.
