Kathie, what led you to think that Vyg's triad (re: operations] evolved into
Leont'ev's [re: activity systems]? It strikes me that three is a useful grammar
for visualizing change, but given that grammar, different terms can produce
different theories...

I second the vote for a discussion of the subject of Activity Theory. Martin
Ryder usefully poses the conditions under which it makes sense to think of
a collective subject; of distributed agency. However, there are good reasons
to preserve the perspectival distinctions among individuals when conceptualizing
agency, which may be an angle from which to view the limitations of AT.
