Jay, I agree with all that you say in this most recent statement. And, I
would say, consider the interesting positive feedback of "alienation"
with the "obsession with human uniqueness." New technologies demonstrate
to us the patterns we share with all other phenomena. As complexity
theory, or dynamical systems theory coevolve complexity theory becomes
community writ large. Our social sciences have much with which to
co-adapt. Things are not going to settle down.
