Thanks Jay

for encouraging an attitude in all ComSeL discoursiters for whom English is
not just the ComFiL! And let me also take this opportunity to celebrate the
occasional polyglossia of the XMCA when we get voices in Spanish,
Portuguese, snippets of German and French: I enjoy it, even when I don't
understand it -- on the other hand, when the motive is the negotiation of
understandings I also enjoy the variety of techniques used for the purpose.

On the topic of hypertext, which interests me greatly both in theory and
practice, I have applied a technique of parallel texts in Swedish and
English in the Kindergarten part of my tangled website (produced in the
spring of 1997, so some of the outlinks may have expired, which for me is
part of the game) -- the rationale for the parallelism is given at
http://cite.ped.gu.se/Learning/anvisning.html#language
-- from where the rest of the maze of my web identity should also be reachab=
le.

cheers
Eva
